Jyväskylä Student Theatre presents: Which Moves Us

“I’ll protect you from the outside world. From the destruction you see out there. You grew up in the middle of it, but it wasn’t always like this. You’re too young to remember, but once upon a time, people were free to make their own choices.”

A mortal declares a holy war against God — a God who finds himself trapped in the very machinery he created. Self-sacrifice is easy for one who has lost their love, but against an opponent like this, it is the smallest of losses. Are we prisoners of our own ideas? Can even God escape his fate?

Blending dance, violence, and sharp dialogue, Which Moves Us is a fusion of 1990s gangster films and dreamlike fantasy. The play is written and directed by Jukka Hämäläinen, with movement scenes choreographed by Paula Kiviharju. This is a premiere production by Jyväskylä Student Theatre.
