Jätkäjätkät Bring the Energy to Ilokivi Venue in October 2025!
Jätkäjätkät was born during the recording sessions of rap artist Asa’s Loppuasukasalbum in 2008. After the album’s release, the group began performing as Asa’s backing band under the name Asa & Jätkäjätkät. In 2010, Asa officially became part of the band, and the name was shortened to simply Jätkäjätkät. Former backing vocalists Puppa J and Joska Josafat stepped into lead vocalist roles alongside Asa, with other band members also taking on frontman duties.
The band released their debut album Ykstoistykstoist in 2010. After a long hiatus, Jätkäjätkät returned with fresh material—their fourth full-length album Norsun selässä dropped on February 14, 2025.
Jätkäjätkät has performed at Finland’s biggest music festivals, including Ruisrock, Ilosaarirock, Provinssirock, and Pori Jazz. In 2011, they were voted the second-best live band of the 2000s by listeners of the YleX radio station.
Jätkäjätkät are: Asa, Puppa J, Erno “Ernie Hawks” Haukkala, Kim “Kasio” Rantala, Rasmus “Rasse” Pailos, Pekka “Vamokki” Varmo, Antti “Luottis” Kivimäki, and Ville “Tuhooja” Väätäinen.
